John R. Childress Joins Island Conservation Advisory Council

Island Conservation is pleased to announce the addition of John R. Childress to its Advisory Council. John is a leadership advisor to senior executive teams and author of the best-selling book, LEVERAGE: The CEO’s Guide to Corporate Culture, along with five other business and leadership books. He has served as a consultant to Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations around the world. John also began his career as a marine ecologist with studies at Harvard University and the University of Hawaii.

As a member of the Advisory Council, John will provide guidance and advice to Island Conservation on its mission to eradicate invasive species and protect and restore island ecosystems. He will also help to develop strategies for engaging stakeholders and building partnerships to further the organization’s conservation efforts.

“We are thrilled to welcome John to our Advisory Council,” said Island Conservation CEO, Dr. Karen Poiani. “His expertise in leadership and organizational development will be invaluable as we work to protect and restore island ecosystems around the world.”
