Gifts through Your Estate Plan
A gift to Island Conservation in your estate plan will build a legacy and assure a future in which island species thrive.

By including Island Conservation in your will, your estate may receive significant tax savings. A designated sum of cash or a certain percentage of a residuary estate can be donated. Gifts from Your IRA Fund
The Pension Protection Act of 2006 gives those at least 70½ years of age the opportunity to make tax-free charitable gifts. For more information, contact the development manager at information@islandconservation.org or 831-359-4787.

Gifts of Stock
Avoid capital gains tax by transferring appreciated securities to Island Conservation. If you’ve owned the stock or securities for more than twelve months you are eligible for a tax deduction equal to its full fair market value. Gifts through Life Insurance
Naming Island Conservation as the owner and beneficiary of your life insurance policy may give you a tax deduction approximately equal to the policy’s cash value on the date of gift. If premiums are still due, your future payments may also be deductible.

Other Non-cash Gifts
Donating real estate to Island Conservation may give you a tax deduction on the fair market value of the real estate and help you avoid the capital gains tax you may incur if you were to sell the property.
