Jesse Friedlander
Project Manager
Jesse grew up hiking, hunting and fishing in New Zealand with his family. This early exposure to the outdoors sparked a passion for conservation and wildlife management and led him to complete a BSC majoring in environmental science and biology at Victoria University. Since then, Jesse has worked in a range of roles within the conservation and natural resource management field. Starting on avian eradication projects in the Seychelles, Jesse then moved on to biodiversity monitoring in remote parts of New Zealand and Canada before spending four years managing the Hawke’s Bay region of Fish and Game New Zealand. Most recently, Jesse has been living and working on the remote Pitt Island, 800km from Mainland New Zealand where he has been managing an invasive species control project and working on threatened species recovery programs. When not working Jesse can be found down at the beach surfing, fishing and diving or up in the mountains hunting and hiking with his dog Moss.
