An Ongoing Investment of Your Time Makes an Enormous Difference
You can spend a few hours a month to a few hours a week conducting research on endemic species information, assisting our fundraising and communications team, planning an event, or helping out in the office.
Opportunities for volunteers change frequently depending upon the projects we are working on at the time. If you are interested in volunteering your time, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and send a CV (resume) and cover letter that details your interest. Once we review your CV and cover letter, one of our staff members will get in touch with you. No phone calls please.
Our volunteer program is restricted to persons age 18 or over who can make a regular commitment.
Our internship program has helped students interested in biology, conservation science, nonprofit administration, photography, and geographic information systems to gain experience working in the field of biodiversity conservation. Students have the opportunity to play a critical role in conservation by completing senior thesis projects with IC, conducting literature research on conservation issues, assisting in prioritization projects, or being involved in the daily administrative activities of our nonprofit organization.
There are occasional opportunities for experienced professionals to work with Island Conservation on specific projects. Such projects are more likely to be associated with management, administration and strategic planning.
We are currently looking for professionals with experience in:
- GIS and cartography

The donation of our volunteers’ time is invaluable to us! Thank you!
