Giving Program
With your help we can continue to prevent extinctions and protect natural ecological processes on islands. We accept a variety of donations-
all of which are tax deductible. However, we aren't a membership organization. So, when you support Island Conservation, you won't get a free coffee mug, or
lots of junk mail. But you can rest assured that your gift will go directly toward supporting endangered island species and their
habitat. Thank you!

- Matching Gifts
- Your employer may match your charitable donations, multiplying the impact of your gift. To learn if your organization
participates, please contact your human resources office.
- Gifts of Stock
- By transferring appreciated securities to Island Conservation, you may be eligible for a tax deduction equal to full
fair market value of the stock, avoiding the capital gains tax on the stock's increased value. For instructions on how to make a transfer, please contact Jen Lape at jen.lape@islandconservation.org or 831-359-4787 ext. 110.
- Gifts of Real Estate
- Donating real property or cars and boats to Island Conservation may give you a tax deduction on the fair market
value of the real estate and help you avoid the capital gains tax you may incur if you were to sell the property. Naming Island Conservation as the owner and
beneficiary of your life insurance policy may give you a tax deduction approximately equal to the policy's cash value on the date of gift. If premiums are
still due, your future payments may also be deductible.
- Gifts Through Wills
- By including Island Conservation in your will, your estate may receive significant tax savings. Either a designated
